9/11

It's kinda hard to believe 9/11/01 was 6 years ago.

I was in 8th grade science class w/ Mr. Shoquist. He didnt have the TV on cuz we were doing a lab and didnt want us to see what was happening I guess. I remember we went into a code yellow, which meant close and lock the doors because there was a national threat going on. They made it seem like there were terrorists in the building, but being as young as I was, had no idea what a terrorist was, or what was actually going on. After around 2 hours sitting in second hour science, we got to unlock the doors, and go to 3rd hour. Honors english with Facciola. She had the TV on CNN and they were replaying the attack. I didnt understand what had just happened, or if it was real or not. Thats pretty much how everyone felt in the room. The clips just kept playing on CNN, but no one really understood. The rest of the day was a blur that I dont remember, except when I got home. I finally really got what happened when I got home to find my mom sitting infront of the TV, watching CNN, and she explained to me every detail. Tho it didnt really impact me the same way then as it has now, finally fully understanding it all.

On a completely different note, have you ever had the urge to just go out there and take a good fall, like you did when you were little? I mean like skateboarding and then eating it on the pavement? I had that sudden urge today, so I packed up my skateboard and drove to the skatepark, only to find it completely packed. Needless to say, I turned around and came home. Maybe I'll try again tomorrow or Thursday morning. This needs to happen tho, as sick as that sounds. I'm on a mission.
