I love hearing personal stories. Not only do they entertain, but you get a chance to really learn about the person who is telling them. You learn about their own life's experiences and the diffferent things they've done and places they've seen.
However, whenever it's my turn to tell one, I can never think up any crazy or exciting things that have happened in my life that could ever compare to the stories I've heard. I know I've done some crazy things, but nothing compares to the crazy experiences other people have had. I guess it kinda frustrates me, because then I start thinking that my life hasn't really been all that exciting because I have very few stories to tell. But I know thats not true. Most of my stories are audience-specific, you have to be there to get the full effect.
I guess the key about stories is having experiences that are somewhat similar to the rest of your audience. Then they'll appreciate it more.
Just thought I'd update whats been on my mind lately. I'll do a regular update later.

:-)
About a month from today I'll be back home in warm sunny Texas, enjoying a nice feast of turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy, green beans, and everything else you could imagine. I'm quite excited. Not to mention, I get to see a shit ton of family and friends again. Yayyy! BAR! As I was standing in line at Meijer, I was looking at Betty Crocker's magazine on Thanksgiving meals, drooling over all the deliciousness she had in there. I'm pretty sure you would have had to put a CAUTION: WET FLOOR sign where I was standing... ha.
Anyhoot. School is going amazingly well. I 4.0-ed another test in ISP on Wednesday; I hopefully turned in a 3.5 or above paper in IAH today; Econ is still a 4.0; I'm all caught up in CSE and have a 2.0 so far; and all the papers in ISB Lab I just got back were better than normal grades. Now I just have to turn in a 3.5 or above paper in ISB Lab to get my grade up to atleast a 3.5 and I'll be golden. W00t W00t!
I dont know, things are just going smoothly right now. I guess I'll take advantage of it while its here, because it will probably be gone before I know it soon.

shitshow.
Shitshow: noun. Definition: Ridiculousness. Keg stands, beer pong, soulja boy, complaining neighbors, drunken hook-ups, loud music, dancing, stumbling, and blackouts all rolled into one.
Example: our party last night.
Oh the hilarious stories I could tell. Great party, ridiculous times.
Definitely a homecoming to remember. Or not. Either way.
If this was a preview of Becka's birthday in a couple weeks, then hells yes!

fatty's gotta eat
Sooo who wants to drop out and go to the School of Culinary Arts with me? Anyone? anyone?
Cooking for myself over these past couple months has been so relaxing and quite healthy. I love how I can just create whatever I want, how I want it. And I love how fast paced it can be at times, when you have many things going at once. If only I had an unlimited amount of cash, I would raid Meijer getting the best ingredients to make the most amazing meals. But I make due with what I have here and my budget. My favorite dish so far: Whole wheat pasta with grilled chicken and broccoli, topped with olive oil, parmesan cheese, and Italian herbs and spices all cooked in a skillet. Amazingly good, and good for you. I'm thinking on making chicken parmesan soon, super excited about that. But most dinners I just grill some chicken, add a lemon herb spice to it, and heat up some broccoli or green beans, a baked potato or mac and cheese, and a salad. Quick and easy.
Diet is still going strong. Buying things with whole wheat and whole grains, lots of protein and fiber, less calories. Drinking tons of water and eating tons of sunflower seeds to keep me full. I've maintained what weight I lost during summer, so thats good. Once lax starts practicing 5 days a week, I'll be a beast. I cant wait. Everyday ab workouts coming soon!
I want to make a silk chocolate pie... mmmm....
