I kind of hate that our growth as humans is stunted. Our skills deeply depend on where we grew up or currently live. I couldn't help but think while watching the women's snowboard pipe in the Winter Olympics, that if I were to grow up in a more hilly/mountainous place, I could have been one of those competitors. Most of those girls have been boarding since they were kids. They probably got season passes to their local ski resorts every year for christmas, thus creating an endless amount of opportunities for them. I'm totally doing that for my kids, thats for sure.
When I think back at what Troy had to offer, I found nothing. Sure we have a "ski resort" trashmound just 30 minutes away.. but lets be real. Unless you're flying out to the Rockies/North East every winter with your family, Mt. Holly doesn't have what you need to be a great snowboarder. So insert the limitation of skills here.
Anyway. Go Team USA!
